Lexus IS named 2014 Luxury Compact Car of the Year by Auto123.com

TORONTO, ON., (November 28, 2013) – The Lexus IS has won Auto123.com’s Luxury Compact Car of the Year Award for 2014, awarded at a ceremony in Toronto on Wednesday.

From its dynamic signature spindle grille separated by LED Daytime Running Lights to its all-new multilink rear suspension and increased overall body rigidity, the 2014 Lexus IS provides a more engaging driving experience with enhanced stability and body control while delivering improved ride comfort.

 

There are two IS models for 2014. The IS 250 is powered by a smooth 2.5-litre V6 engine matched to a six-speed Electronically Controlled Transmission (ECT). The IS 350 has a 3.5-litre V6 with D4-S direct and port fuel injection. Available for both IS models is an electronically controlled all-weather drive system that’s designed to help enhance traction and grip under all driving conditions. In addition, a new Drive Mode Select system features up to five driving modes. There is also an available F SPORT package that includes unique 18-inch wheels and special suspension tuning, along with unique interior and exterior design.
