Lexus Of Lakeridge Begins Construction On New State-Of-The-Art Dealership

Groundbreaking ceremony July 28; new 70,000 square-foot dealership expected to open in 2016

TORONTO, ON., July 28, 2015 – Lexus of Lakeridge will be celebrating the groundbreaking of its new, next-generation dealership in grand style.

The special event will take place July 28 at 180 Achilles Road in Ajax (just east of Toronto), site of the new dealership’s location.

With a total investment of $20 million to create the ultra-modern 70,000-square-foot facility, Lexus guests can expect to be amazed and delighted when they visit the new location, which is scheduled to open summer of 2016.

“Lexus of Lakeridge is looking forward to making the guest experience extraordinary. This beautiful new facility will allow us to provide service with many exciting innovations that have all been put in place with our guests in mind,” said Christopher Endras, Dealer Principal, adding that 50 to 80 new employees will join the team in the new facility.

Created to the highest standard of quality and craftsmanship that’s characteristic of the Lexus brand, the bright and airy facility is designed mostly of glass. The design allows the entire guest experience to take place indoors. That includes all vehicle work, with drive-thru drop-off, servicing, washing, and storage and a delivery bay on the upper level.

Another special feature guests can look forward to at the new facility is the kitchen with a full-time chef. Breakfast for service and sales guests each morning makes for a great start to each day at Lexus of Lakeridge. While people wait for their vehicles, they’ll be able to enjoy an espresso and made-to-order omelet.

There will also be an on-site valet service for new and pre-owned guests, as well as pick-up/drop-off valet service for select service clients.

Lexus of Lakeridge will also be presenting Durham College with a CT 200h hybrid vehicle in support of the college’s hybrid education.

“Durham College thanks Lexus of Lakeridge and Lexus Canada for this generous donation,” said Don Lovisa, President, Durham College. “The vehicle will provide an enhanced learning experience for our automotive students at the Whitby campus, offering exceptional opportunities and an in-class education that prepares our students for future careers.”
