Toyota Recalls Four Model Year 2008-2009 Lexus LX Vehicles

(TORONTO, ON. – August 31, 2017) Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) announced that it is conducting a safety recall involving a total of four Model Year 2008-2009 Lexus LX vehicles in Canada.

In the four involved vehicles, there is a possibility that an incorrectly specified driver or front passenger airbag assembly was installed during the vehicle assembly process.  In the event of a crash, this could result in an airbag deployment in a manner other than as designed, increasing the risk of injury.

All known owners of the subject vehicles will receive a notification by first class mail.  Lexus dealers will replace the airbag assembly with a correct one, at no cost to the customer.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is subject to change over time.  For the most up-to-date Safety Recall information on Lexus vehicles, customers should check their vehicle’s status by visiting lexus.ca/recall and entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
