TORONTO, ONTARIO – JULY 26th, 2022 – The Lexus UX 250h is the fresh interpretation of a compact luxury crossover, expressly crafted for the urban explorer. Its bold, urban style and city-savvy technology fuse the versatility of an SUV, the agility of a sport hatchback, and the performance and efficiency of an all-wheel-drive, self-charging hybrid electric powertrain. For 2023, Lexus introduces two new trim packages, and updates all models with the new Lexus Interface connectivity and multimedia system.
“The UX 250h has become a popular luxury choice for Canadian Guests seeking style, performance, and efficiency – and for 2023, we’ve made it even more technologically advanced with our all-new Lexus Interface system,” said Martin Gilbert, Director of Lexus in Canada. “We then give Guests more reasons to love the UX 250h with two new trim packages, plus fresh colour palettes inside and out.”
The UX 250h story starts with cutting edge design, expressing its nimble performance and excellent maneuverability. From the spindle grille, to the flared fenders, to the rear combination lamps connected by a continuous single line of 120 LEDs, everything about this compact crossover is bold and dramatic.
For 2023, Lexus offers non-F SPORT models in seven body colours, as Iridium and Cloudburst Grey join Eminent White Pearl, Caviar, Cadmium Orange, Nori Green Pearl, and Grecian Water. The bigger colour story is found in the F SPORT editions, with six new two-tone choices: Ultra White, Iridium, Cloudburst Grey, Redline, Cadmium Orange, and Ultrasonic Blue Mica 2.0 – each with an Obsidian roof.
The UX 250h’s striking design blurs the boundary between exterior and interior with a hood that seems to flow through the windscreen into the instrument panel. The UX 250h provides comfortable seating for five or fold the 60/40 split rear seats to open up 486 litres of cargo capacity. The cargo deck opens to reveal a second storage area underneath, which increases carrying capacity by 26 percent.
The UX 250h cabin offers uncompromising luxury with features including eight-way power-adjustable front seats and dual-zone automatic climate control. For 2023, Lexus has added a new interior colour choice to non-F SPORT models: Palomino joins Black and Birch, with Nuluxe upholstery. Lexus continues to offer F SPORT models in a choice of Black and Circuit Red with Nuluxe F SPORT upholstery.
Urban performance is all about nimble handling, and the UX 250h responds quickly and confidently to every driver input, delivering an exceptional driving experience, including impressive torque from the self-charging hybrid electric powertrain, the sure-footedness of on-demand all-wheel-drive, and the segment’s tightest turning radius. Amp up the driving excitement with a choice of F SPORT models, featuring highly bolstered sport seats, aluminum pedals, paddle shifters, and Active Sound Control.
Lexus also updates the UX 250h technology package for 2023. All models are now fitted with the Lexus Interface – the company’s newest connectivity and multimedia system. Lexus Interface features include Drive Connect with Cloud Navigation, Destination Assist, and Intelligent Assistant that responds to the “Hey Lexus” prompt. Other features include Service Connect, Safety Connect, and Remote Connect, plus Wireless Apple CarPlay, Wireless Android Auto, two Bluetooth profiles, and full colour touch screen interfaces.
As a Lexus, every UX 250h also features a comprehensive safety package. New this year, this features Lexus Safety System + 2.5 – a bundle of advanced active safety technologies that enhances driver abilities. LSS+2.5 systems include all-speed range dynamic radar cruise control, automatic high beam, lane departure alert with steering assist and road edge detection, lane tracing assist, and the pre-collision system with pedestrian and bicycle detection. Other safety systems include 10 air bags, a blind spot monitor system, and backup camera.
