A collaboration with Futurpreneur’s Growth Accelerator program will mark Lexus’ first plan of action to foster future founders driving their startups to new heights of success.
TORONTO, Ontario (May 9, 2024) - In the spirit of pushing boundaries, Lexus has announced a social contribution initiative, Accelerate Amazing. This will act as an annual commitment to foster innovation by supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs and creative problem solvers through partnered non-profit organizations.
“Imaginative thinking is a core value, we’re forever looking ahead,” said Martin Gilbert, Director of Lexus Canada. “We’re excited to support those who are driven by curiosity and a relentless desire for progress – that’s where innovation lives.”
This year, Lexus will be partnering with Futurpreneur – Canada’s only national non-profit organization that provides aspiring young entrepreneurs with the loan financing, mentorship, and resources needed to start, buy, or grow a small business.
Lexus will specifically be supporting Futurpreneur’s Growth Accelerator Program, which brings together a cohort of 25 diverse young entrepreneurs from across Canada. The 8-week program allows these emerging startup founders to network, to learn together, and to share business ideas, all culminating in a final growth strategy pitch competition held in Toronto this June. The participant who demonstrates the most compelling vision for the future of their business will be awarded $10,000 to propel their startup forward.
“Our Growth Accelerator program continues to foster the success of young entrepreneurs who have previously benefited from our support," says Janis Nixon, Chief Growth Officer of Futurpreneur. "Thanks to our partnership with Lexus, we are enhancing their skills and expanding their networks, positioning these high-potential Futurpreneurs on a path to long-term success. Together, we are dedicated to ensuring each entrepreneur can thrive and accelerate their growth throughout their entrepreneurial journey.”
