TORONTO, November 11, 2025 – Lexus Canada today announced several initiatives to enrich guests’ ownership experiences with battery electric vehicles (BEVs), including an expanded network of DC fast chargers (including the Tesla Supercharger Network), new Plug & Charge capability, Apple Maps EV Routing, and the introduction of Wallet.
Expanded Charging Network
Lexus guests are now able to enjoy charging through the Tesla Supercharger Network[1].
Lexus guests can find these Tesla Superchargers, as well as other compatible charging networks, through the Lexus app. Additionally, the app provides the ability to start, stop and pay for charging sessions via their smartphones[2].
The latest Lexus BEVs, including the 2026 RZ and ES, will make this step even simpler with Plug & Charge capabilities2, available with an active Remote Connect trial or subscription. Those 2026 Lexus BEV guests will be able to initiate charging by simply plugging in after a one-time Plug & Charge payment setup through the Lexus app’s Wallet.
NACS Adapter
Those with 2023-25 Lexus RZ BEVs will soon be able to order a Lexus-approved North America Charging System (NACS) charging adapter that allows backward compatibility to charge at SAE J1772 and Combined Charging System (CCS) stations, providing even greater charging convenience and flexibility.
“The BEV ecosystem differs from that of internal combustion engines and hybrids, yet our objective remains unchanged — to deliver an enriching experience our Lexus guests can rely on for the long haul,” said Martin Gilbert, Director of Lexus Canada. “We’re pleased to offer our battery electric vehicle guests meaningful enhancements that elevate their ownership journey.”
Those with 2023-25 Lexus RZ BEVs will receive a letter instructing them when and how to contact their dealer to schedule pick up or shipping for one complimentary NACS charging adapter per vehicle.
Apple Maps EV Routing
To further complement the BEV ecosystem, Lexus recently introduced access to Apple Maps EV Routing via Apple CarPlay. This new functionality enables the use of real-time vehicle information, including elevation changes, battery performance and vehicle model, to efficiently navigate drivers to compatible chargers on the way to their destinations.
Introducing Wallet
Integrated into the Lexus App, Wallet allows Lexus BEV guests to set up payment for charging using the Lexus app without the need for additional third-party apps.
