TORONTO, FEBRUARY 6, 2026 – At this month’s Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto, visitors will get the opportunity to explore the all-new 2026 Lexus ES, making its Ontario debut, and the new 2026 Lexus IS, making its Canadian debut, on February 12, 2026, at the show’s Media Day.
The ES has been a fixture in the Lexus lineup since the brand launched in Canada over 35 years ago. The 8th generation ES is Lexus’ first core model to be re-imagined as a multi-platform vehicle, offered with both hybrid (HEV) and battery-electric (BEV) powertrains, including front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive models. Fully redesigned, inside and out, the 2026 ES marks a bold evolution in new Lexus design language – deepening the expression of elegance and a clean, welcoming atmosphere.
The all-new ES is built on a redesigned TNGA GA-K platform, developed specifically to accommodate both HEV and BEV powertrains. The ES 350h offers enhanced power performance and will come with standard AWD in Canada. The new 2.5-litre hybrid system features an integrated eAxle combining the power control unit and transaxle, contributing to a more compact and lightweight powertrain, while also achieving higher battery output. Meanwhile, the BEV lineup offers two models: the ES 350e front-wheel drive model and the ES 500e all-wheel drive model. The 2026 ES will arrive at Lexus dealers across Canada this Spring.
For 2026, the Lexus IS premieres with a redesigned exterior that refines the sedan’s signature look to its fullest. Along with an interior featuring restyled instrument panel, centre console, trims, and the latest multimedia system, the updated driver-focused design further advances the pursuit of an exhilarating driving experience, allowing for true dialogue between man and machine.
In addition to the ES and IS, Lexus will showcase the brand’s full range of luxury vehicles – including the LC Convertible Inspiration Edition, battery-electric RZ, and several other SUVs, including the Canadian-made and best-selling NX and RX. Also on display will be two custom wrapped vehicles – a Lexus RZ 450e and RX 450h+ - in celebration of Lexus’s partnership with Cirque du Soleil. Celebrating craftsmanship, expressed through the intersection of artistry, performance, precision, and meaningful moments, artists Whatisadam and Julia Prajza draw on themes from Cirque du Soleil’s ECHO and LUZIA shows.
