TORONTO, JANUARY 20, 2026 – The Lexus UX combines SUV-versatility with the agility of a hatchback, making it the perfect companion for active urban lifestyles. Powered exclusively by a dynamic yet fuel-efficient hybrid electric powertrain and equipped with electronically-controlled all-wheel-drive, the UX delivers dynamic driving plus all-season confidence and control. This year, Lexus Canada upgrades the UX by including the 64-colour thematic interior illumination system as standard on all models.

“The Lexus UX is a luxury crossover designed for the urban experience, with a compact footprint, nimble handling and the Lexus AWD system to perform in all kinds of weather,” said Martin Gilbert, Director of Lexus Canada. “It combines style, comfort, and advanced connectivity technologies at the fingertips of our Guests. For 2026, we’ve enhanced every UX interior and updated many interior and exterior colour choices to reflect the sophisticated tastes of our Guests.”

From the curb, the UX 300h expresses cutting-edge design. Up front, LED headlights and daytime running lights bracket the Lexus spindle grille and are arranged in an arrowhead motif create the Lexus L-shaped lighting signature. The UX presents an aerodynamic profile with 18-inch grade-specific alloy wheels clad in run-flat tires and pushed out to the corners. At the rear, unique Aero Stabilizing Blade Lights begin at the top of the rear fenders and span the rear of the vehicle to project a distinctive night-time signature formed by a sequence of 120 LEDs. The exterior is capped with a power tilting/sliding moon roof to welcome light and air into cabin.

The UX’s striking design blurs the boundary between exterior and interior. The hood appears to flow into the instrument panel, creating a sense of seamless continuity. The driver-centric cockpit offers a commanding view of the road, with controls harmoniously at hand, and technologies designed to elevate the experience. The UX provides a spacious atmosphere for uncompromising luxury, while dual-zone automatic climate control tailors the interior environment to suit individual preferences. Rear seats split 60/40 to provide up to 486 litres of cargo space, while lifting the cargo deck reveals a second storage area below.

Under the hood, the UX is powered by the fifth generation of the Lexus Hybrid System. This hybrid-electric powertrain features an inline four-cylinder gas engine with two motor-generators, an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission, and a compact lithium-ion battery pack. This gives the UX 300h 196 total system horsepower. Shift-by-wire technology eliminates mechanical connections to create a quicker and more seamless shifting experience.

In Canada, all configurations feature the additional all-weather driving confidence of Lexus AWD as standard. This system delivers near-instantaneous drive force application when accelerating, cornering, or driving in low-grip situations. The UX is engineered with a low centre of gravity and careful tuning of the chassis and suspension systems to maximize the Lexus Driving Signature and provide a nimble, responsive driving experience.

Every 2026 UX is impressively equipped with advanced yet intuitive technology features, headlined by the Lexus Interface. This wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto-compatible multimedia and connectivity system features a touchscreen display, Bluetooth connectivity, and Sirius XM Satellite compatibility. The Lexus Interface incorporates a natural language virtual assistant that enables a voice-first approach to navigation, media, communication, and other vehicle features. In addition, all Lexus Interface connected services may be controlled from a smart phone equipped with the Lexus App.

As a Lexus, every UX 300h also features state of the art safety systems – starting with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0. This Lexus portfolio of active safety technologies supports the driver’s awareness and decision-making under a range of traffic conditions and contingencies. Other standard safety features on all models include a backup camera, the Blind Spot Monitor system with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, 10 airbags, and a tire pressure monitoring system with auto location.
