Lexus Canada partners with Canadian Crafts Federation to celebrate craft excellence nationwide

OTTAWA, September 8, 2025 – Lexus Canada announced a new national partnership with the Canadian Crafts Federation (CCF/FCMA) today, underscoring the brand’s commitment to excellence, precision and craftsmanship.

As Presenting Sponsor of Coast to Coast to Coast: Celebrating Canadian Craft, Lexus Canada will help bring a landmark touring exhibition to audiences across the country. The partnership also introduces two $10,000 Lexus x Craft Innovation Grants, designed to recognize and support Canadian artists at pivotal stages of their careers – echoing Lexus’s own commitment to excellence and innovation.

Touring Exhibition: Coast to Coast to Coast

Coast to Coast to Coast: Celebrating Canadian Craft showcases contemporary works from artists selected by provincial and territorial Craft Councils across Canada. From eco-printed textiles to sculptural ceramics, beaded regalia, and contemporary metalwork, the exhibition presents a vibrant portrait of Canadian craft today.

Following stops in Montreal and Ottawa, the exhibition will be on display at the Craft Council of BC Gallery on Granville Island, Vancouver, from October 9 to November 20, 2025.

Lexus x Craft Innovation Grants

Through this partnership, Lexus Canada is sponsoring two national awards:

1. Maker of the Year Award ($10,000) – Honouring an established artist whose body of work demonstrates exceptional skill, innovation and a lasting contribution to Canadian craft.
2. Emerging Craft Artist Award ($10,000) – Recognizing an emerging artist whose unique creative voice and fresh perspective are shaping the future of Canadian craft.

By supporting both established and emerging artists, these Lexus x Craft Innovation Grants highlight Lexus’s dedication to innovation, eco-conscious design, and the preservation of craftsmanship.

This collaboration is a signature initiative of Craft Year 2025, a nationwide celebration of Canadian craft. Together, Lexus Canada and the Canadian Crafts Federation are broadening opportunities for Canadian artists and elevating Canadian craft on the global stage.
