TORONTO, FEBRUARY 11, 2026 – The all-new 2026 Lexus ES series is ready to introduce Canadians to an exciting new luxury sedan experience – with all-new style, all-new and exclusively electrified powertrains, outstanding comfort and amenities, and the newest Lexus connectivity and safety technologies – all in a 12-model line-up that provides plenty of choice and value for every Lexus Guest.

“The new ES represents far more than the next generation of our global luxury sedan. It introduces a confident new design language, electrified performance that elevates the driving experience, and advanced technologies designed to feel intuitive and human — all grounded in the Lexus foundation of quality and our commitment to crafting truly memorable luxury experiences for our Guests,” said Martin Gilbert, Director of Lexus Canada. “As we introduce this beautifully reimagined sedan, we’re proud to offer Canadians a choice of 12 distinct grades, each thoughtfully priced to deliver exceptional value and inspiring reasons to embrace this next expression of Lexus luxury.”

The 2026 ES has been fully redesigned, using a bold evolution of the Lexus design language, known as Clean Tech X Elegance and inspired by the next-generation BEV concept – the Lexus LF-ZC. Lexus designers further refined the signature elegance that as long defined the ES – seamlessly blending its functional and emotional qualities to a higher level.

The new ES features a flowing exterior that blends bold styling with aerodynamic performance – hinting at a beautiful driving experience characterized by the quietness and ride comfort that are hallmarks of the Lexus line. Inside, the ES welcomes guests to a clean, elegant cabin that’s more spacious than the previous generation models. The seating and trim elements are crafted to be as slim as possible while the glass surface area that surrounds the cabin has been increased – combining to maximize the sense of space. The result is an open, airy upper section that provides superior visibility, contrasted by a lower section that gently envelops the occupants.

For the first time, the ES is exclusively electrified – and becomes the first Lexus core model to be developed as a multi-platform vehicle with both hybrid (HEV) and battery electric (BEV) powertrains, as follows:

  • The ES 350h is the newest version of the ES hybrid-electric vehicle (HEV) – featuring a new 2.5L Lexus hybrid system with an integrated eAxle combining the power control unit and transaxle. This new hybrid system is more compact and lightweight, while achieving higher battery output. This powertrain is paired with standard all-wheel drive in Canada.
  • Lexus also offers the new ES in a choice of two battery electric (BEV) powertrains. These are the first BEVs in the ES model and expand the range of Lexus battery electrics available to Canadians. The ES 350e is a front-wheel drive vehicle offering 221 combined horsepower with a Manufacturer-estimated range of up to 480 km* between charges while the ES 500e AWD, offering 338 combined horsepower, is equipped with the Lexus DIRECT4 all-wheel drive system that continuously adjusts torque distribution to all four wheels based on road conditions and driver inputs.

*Manufacturer-estimated range at 100% charge in 20-30 degrees Celsius. Actual range and charging times will vary depending on weather and other factors.

A redesigned GA-K platform accommodates both HEV and BEV powertrains, while boosting rigidity to reduce vibration and enhance steering, acceleration, and deceleration. The Lexus Driving Signature is further enhanced in all models with variable gear ratio steering and the first use in the ES of a multi-link rear suspension system.

The 2026 model year introduces Canadian Guests to the first ES offered at the Executive VIP grade – featuring a more spacious and relaxing rear cabin environment. The new ES also introduces a number of Lexus firsts – including next-generation Twin-L signature headlamps and two door-trim treatments – bamboo layering, and synthetic leather embossing – that elevate the sensory experience.

The new ES also debuts the newest version of the Lexus Interface multimedia and connectivity system with Service Connect, Safety Connect, Remote Connect, and Drive Connect plus a 14-inch touch screen. The 2026 ES also debuts the next generation Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 bundle of active safety technologies.
